ENTrigue Surgical, Inc. was formed by two entrepreneurs, one an otolaryngologist and the other an experienced industry veteran. Both had a similar vision: To revitalize innovation in the ENT market and to provide an outlet for ideas within the ENT community.

In 2004, Founder and Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Gonzales formed the first of several companies including Xorbent Technologies, Xorbent L.L.C. and Xorbent, Inc., to realize his vision. He initially obtained angel funding and created a patent portfolio within each company focusing on specific needs within Otolaryngology. Subsequently, he attracted the interest of PrismVentureWorks, a leading investor in life science companies.

Chief Executive Officer, Fred Dinger, was on a parallel path to assemble an innovative technology portfolio and a dynamic management team with a proven track record of innovation in the ENT surgical environment. He was backed by The Vertical Group, a private equity investor with a stellar record of launching successful healthcare companies over two decades.

In May 2007, both endeavors were brought together and ENTrigue Surgical, Inc. was formed with Series A financing from PrismVentureWorks and The Vertical Group.
